This is how it feels to love a country that fundamentally sucks. In many ways, this is my favorite album of all time, and it kind of scratches every single itch for me personally. A scathing takedown of British empire, and a love letter to England all at once. Mournful, bitter, righteous, tender, beautiful, and haunting. I find myself revisiting it often, especially on bad news days.
